4/1/2009 REVIEW

Problem:  At the logon screen, it displays a technical difficulties page.  I refreshed the browser, but it still displays the same page.

Solution:  From Internet Explorer, go to the tools menu, and Internet Options.  Click on “Delete…” under browsing history, then under the Temporary Internet Files click on the “Delete files…” button.  This should reconcile the issue if F5 does not refresh the information.

 

4/16/2008 REVIEW Problem:  I receive an error telling me that must first enter my name before submitting the survey.  Where do I enter my name?
Solution:  Trust the site "osfp.mc.vanderbilt.edu", and allow pop-ups for the site "*.vanderbilt.edu".  You will then be prompted to enter your name, and can submit the survey.

Allow our site to display pop ups in your browser.

1.  From the Internet Explorer Tools menu, Internet Options, Privacy Tab.  Under Pop-up Blocker, click on the Settings button.

 

 2.  Type:  "*.vanderbilt.edu" in the address to allow box and click Add.

 


3.  Add http://osfp.mc.vanderbilt.edu to the trusted site list by following the steps below.

4.  From Internet Explorer, click on the Tools menu and select “Internet Options”.  Click on the tab labeled “Security” and click the “Sites” button.

 5.  In the Trusted sites box:  Uncheck “Require server verification….”

6.  Type the address in the “Add this website to the zone” box, and click the “Add” button.

7.  Click on the Close button in the trusted sites box, and then click “OK” in the Internet Options box.

 You may have to restart your browser for the changes to take effect.

Problem:  After clicking on the "View Floor plan" button, the drawing tool button bar appears, but the drawing does not display.
Solution:  You must use Internet Explorer or IETab in Firefox to view drawings!  Because the drawings load in a new window, please allow pop ups for our site.  From the survey login screen, install the new drawing viewer by clicking on the link.  From the Windows control panel,  Add/Remove Programs, and find the "Autodesk Whip" reference, select it and choose to remove.  Close the browser window and start a new one.  The drawing should now be viewable.

Question:  Can I use Firefox?
Answer:  Yes, but you must run the survey in a Internet Explorer tab.  To do this, requires the following IETab extension from Firefox:  https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1419/  You must close and restart Firefox, then you may choose to add the icon to the tool bar in Firefox by right clicking and choosing customize, then drag/drop the IETab icon to the tool bar.
05/17/2002 LOW Time Out Message (with option to restart).  This message will appear when the survey is being edited in a Netscape Browser, and when the survey is opened/displayed in the E-Mail Client (Notes or Outlook).  Using Internet Explorer will resolve the issue.

Description

05/11/2004 05/11/2004 Page Cannot Be Displayed error occurs in browser when user returns to room number for further editing.  This issue has been resolved.

  Page Cannot Be Displayed immediately after pressing the SAVE button.  This error occurs if the OCCUPANTS are altered in ANY way.  The work around is to avoid ADDING/REMOVING any occupants in a space until the issue is resolved.  Resolved 08:58 05/13/2004 /drw  Occupants can be added.  NOTE:  Occupants that were changed during the duration of this issue, will have to be input again.

Report a New Issue

Resolved issues are posted as soon as the fix can be applied. If the form is left open in the browser, the fix will not be applied until refreshed. This can be done by clicking the refresh option in your browser, or upon the next successful survey login. If the problem that you are encountering does not appear above, please report it.
